Chimes for Charity Foundation

Chimes for Charity is an annual auction held in November. Donations are taken from local merchants varying from cosmetics, furniture, clothing, etc….. The auction is televised on our local TV station beginning on Monday and runs every night through Sunday. Local celebrities and business volunteer their time and money to participate in donating items, answering telephones, being on air auctioning items or just running through bids and general help.

After we close out the week and collect all the money…. We shop !! We buy clothes and toys for approximately 900 children in Dyer County. The Sunday before Christmas is always reserved for the party where these children get to come to receive their gifts. In addition to their clothes and toys, they receive food, drinks and fruit. And of course, a visit from Santa Claus himself.

Through the eyes of a child... We all see Christmas

Camp Discovery

Camp Discovery is a project of the Tennessee Jaycees and the Tennessee Jaycee Foundation, Inc. The Jaycees have been providing summer camping opportunities for people with disabilities for over twenty years.

During the last 20 years, we have come a long way in developing and updating our camp to meet the needs of our campers. Camp Discovery is always striving to provide the best camping experience possible.

Back to School Chimes

Before school starts back we provide a pair of shoes to children in need. Children are allowed to pick any one pair of shoes to wear to school. For some children, this is their only new pair each year.

Demolition Derby

Demolition Derby is held in May each year by a local business. All proceeds benefit the Dyersburg Jaycees Chimes for Charity Foundation. Jaycee members work with the derby team to help make this a success.

Families in Need Program

Throughout the year, we are presented with families in special need of assistance. Families that have experienced a tragedy, such as a house fire, or medical assistance are helped through the year.

The Dyersburg Jaycees have been in operation for 60 years.
